The idea - Deconstructing the dichotomies of Artificial Intelligence
Events company Spark were looking for a distinct event brand to support an Artificial Intelligence themed lecture series taking place at the Barbican, London. The identity reflects the dichotomies which can be seen through common (but opposing) perspectives surrounding AI - “Trust / Doubt”, “Anticipation / Fear”, “Saviour / Destroyer”, “Help / Harm”. The identity captures this through a subtle sense of unease, established through fragmented typographic layout, and hand-drawn textures that act as divisive ‘slices’ throughout the identity.
